“Many have been with Debbie and I on our three-year journey. The journey began with a diabetic ulcer on my left foot. They were with us during infusions, grafts, oxygen chamber treatments, we tried. Just a few short weeks ago we decided that a below the knee amputation. This solved the non-healing wound and the bone infection. Many have asked how we have remained so positive through all of these events. 1. Faith – our faith has kept us positive. Faith doesn’t take you out of the problem, Faith takes you through the problem. Faith doesn’t take away the pain, it gives you the ability to handle the pain. Faith calms you in the middle of the storm. 2. Prayer – The members of this church with their Faith have offered Prayers to offer their support through this journey. First United Methodist Church of Bonita Springs is amazing.”
