Our Beliefs
What we believe is at the core of who we are as a group of people dedicated to the Word of God and belief in Jesus Christ. It defines who we are, how we relate to each other and the world, and how we live our lives.
We Believe…
that the Bible is divinely inspired by God. It is faultless and is the sole and final authority for all matters of our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21)
We Believe…
in the eternal Godhead who has been revealed as one God existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. (Matthews 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We Believe…
that because of the fall of Adam and Eve, man by nature is sinful and unholy. He cannot attain God’s righteousness without his spirit being “reborn” through the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:8-10; Romans 8:5; I Corinthians 15:22)
We Believe…
that Jesus, the Savior for every person, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is totally God and yet, totally man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7)2)

that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day. (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 5:8-9; Romans 10:9-10)
We Believe…
that Jesus rose from the dead, and that He is coming again a second time for His Church. (John 14:2-3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 9:28)
We Believe…
in eternal life for believers (John 3:16 & 5:24) and eternal punishment for unbelievers—those people who reject Jesus. (Mark 9:43-48; II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15; I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith that Jesus conquered death by dying on the cross and was then resurrected. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12 & 22)
We Believe…
that water baptism by total immersion is important in order to fulfill the command of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 19:1-6)
We Believe…
that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a real experience at or after salvation. Those who believe, can then speak in “tongues” (an unknown language) as the Holy Spirit gives them the ability. (Acts 2:1-4; Acts 8:14-1; Acts 10:44-46)

in the operation of the gifts and ministry of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:11; I Corinthians 12: 4-11; Romans 12:5-8)
We Believe…
in living a Spirit-filled life, separated from the world systems and lived in holiness and reverence to God, our Heavenly Father. (Ephesians 5:18; II Corinthians 6:14; II Corinthians 7:1)
We Believe…
that God’s power and love bring miraculous healing and deliverance spiritually, physically and emotionally in the name of Jesus and is available to all of us today. (Mark 16:17; Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; I Corinthians 12:9; James 5:15)

that all “born again believers” (people who have accepted Jesus as their Savior) should participate in communion in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice. (Matthew 26:26-28; I Corinthians 11:28-32)

that the enemy (satan/devil) is a real spirit being, whose sole mission is to try to steal, kill and destroy God’s people, but one day will be judged, along with all of the fallen angels, and cast into the lake of fire. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:14-15; John 10:10)

that there is one true Church, which is made up of believers with Jesus as the head. However, this one Church is composed of countless local churches throughout the world. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 9:31; Ephesians 5:23)
